Historic Restoration & Infill Development

Historically Accurate Construction and Restoration

Committed to the preservation of historic resources and the revitalization of historic districts through the restoration of existing historic structures and tasteful infill development, Brad McGrath Builder volunteers his time to serve on the City of Fort Myers Historic Preservation Commission and has considerable experience doing historic restoration projects. The company has done extensive renovations to three of Captiva Island’s Historic Landmark Properties that date back the 1930s. The team also recently completed the restoration of its own office and model home, a 1925 Arts and Crafts Bungalow in the Dean Park Historic District. Clients are welcomed to see the builder’s work, located 1.5 miles east of the Downtown Fort Myers River District.

What is required for historic renovation? Brad McGrath Builder offers a knowledge of zoning and land use requirements, and a talent for being able to seek out or create small parcels of developable land in established neighborhoods. The builder is very skilled at designing and building tasteful infill projects that blend in with the size, scale and design of the surrounding historic structures. The team recently designed and built a small commercial live/work development for a client on Captiva Island that blended in seamlessly with the surrounding properties.
